50 years ago, the unspeakable happened with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
In keeping with its historical importance and interest, there has been a predictable wave of media accounts filling airspace and newspaper columns. There have been commemorative books, both new and freshly republished, dissertations, personal remembrances, print, video and radio clips of the day, and on and on.
If one man is correct, what has been missing to this point has been a rendering of a major book of this time in graphic novel form. That person is Seth Reuben Jacobson, co-author of“JFK and the Unspeakable” along with the print book’s original author, Jim Douglass.
“When I first read the book Seth declared, “I knew that I had to see it released as a graphic novel. In this way it could reach a modern audience that may never have – or will – pick it up as a hard-bound copy.”
Graphic Novel? This could never have happened in Kennedy’s day, as this media had not as yet elevated itself into the sophisticated artistic and social instrument we are familiar with today. Back then, it was known only as the lowly “comic book.”
Which leads me to ask if portraying the JFK story through this medium is either respectful or appropriate. That may take some convincing. In this interview with Seth Jacobson you will learn the motivation behind this work and why you and I, his potential audience, may want to pay attention.
For those who want to learn more about this work, or to contact Seth, this can be done on the Internet through Facebook here: www.facebook.com/jfkunspeakablegraphic?ref=hl. The first chapter is now available on Amazon.com.
I encourage my fans to help keep stories like this in front of an audience which is sick of Main Stream Media and their sanitized stories. Please follow me at the HuffingtonPost as Jerry Ashton, on Twitter as @WrittenOffUSA, and at my website, www.WrittenOffAmerica.com.
In what is becoming almost a Series needing to be called, “I can’t believe we are still discussing this,” we are brought back to a storyline that just won’t go away – the narrative of the Homeowner as Victim and Banks as the Villain.
Few of these stories end up happy. Today’s 15 Minutes of Fact interview features a man who successfully reversed the roles with the banks. They became the Victim, and he is – in their eyes – the Villain. If he is a Villain, we need more such bad folk like him.
They shouldn’t have picked on California resident Martin Walden, a former US Army 1st Lieutenant, platoon leader with VietNam experience, a Revenue Agent with the IRS, and currently a major FB page manager for Mortgage Resistance of America, Student Loan Resistance Movement, and Big Pharma Resistance.
Like many people mesmerized by the false prosperity snares engineered by the banks, he got into hot water and has found himself to be foreclosed on. Again, and again, and again. How he has successfully stayed in this home for the past five years and fought off the bank may provide some hope for those of you who are still early-on in such circumstances.
For those of you who wish to know more about Martin and his work, you can reach him via email and on his Facebook Mortgage Resistance Page or on his Facebook Student Loan Resistance page.

Bobby speaks, on location, from a shared office space in the heart of Silicon alley, with Alex Genadinik, creator of Problemio, an assortment of quite possibly the most helpful business plan apps ever invented in the history of the universe. The two discuss a range of topics privy to any sensible entrepreneur – from online marketing to fundraising. “What’s a ‘purple cow’?” you ask. Listen and find out.Related Website http://problemio.com
There is so much social turbulence today it is beyond comprehension. Strikes, Riots, Demonstrations, marches, practically everywhere you look. The simple fact is, People Want Democracy!
And, none more so than the people who inhabit Greece, its very birthplace. What is it about this country’s demonstrators and activists that distinguish them from the eople in Turkey? Brazil? Or, even those of us in the U.S. in the Occupy Movement? We’re turning to Nicholas levis, a Greek-American here in NYC to answer that question today in our 15 Minutes of Fact!
Nicholas Levis has been active with Occupy Astoria Long Island City and is a member of AKNY, the Greek Solidarity Movement (http://www.akny.org/). The latter is a NY based international campaign to support the resistance to austerity, neoliberalism and political repression in Greece.
A recent flashpoint in Greece was the public response caused when the Greek government decided to close down the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation known as ERT. Using the debt crisis as an excuse, some 2,600 employees were let go on June 11. The result? 100,000 people in the street in clear and open revolt to this heavy-handed use of Government control.
It seems that the whole of the Mediterranean is in ferment – and no more so than a country that Greece borders – Turkey. Our listeners don’t have to be told about the highly visible struggles that are going on there, but few know that here in the U.S., Turkish Americans are as inflamed as Greek Americans. With that in mind, you will greatly appreciate his recounting his group’s encounter with the Turkish Americans at Zuccotti Park.
Enjoy this 15 Minutes of Fact piece with a man who can inform and educate us in a personal way that news articles and mainstream media talking heads cannot possibly do. If you would like a taste of his writing abilities, his article “Money and Magic” will give you enjoyment as well as knowledge: http://alternativebanking.nycga.net/2012/08/26/money-and-magic/.
