Jed Diamond, PhD, LCSW, is founder and director of MenAlive, a health program that helps men live long and well. Here’s what Jed wrote as his mission statement: “My passion in life is to support men, and the women who love them, in eliminating the stresses that undermine their health and wreck their relationships.”

Jed’s newest book, “MenAlive: Stop Killer Stress with Simple Energy Healing Tools,” brings together the wisdom accumulated in 40 years helping more than 20,000 men, women, and children. This book teaches men and women four simple, yet effective, practices that can be used to prevent stress-related problems all of us face in this chaotic world.

Since inception of MenAlive, Jed has been on the Board of Advisors of the Men’s Health Network. He is also a member of the International Society for the Study of the Aging Male and serves as a member of the International Scientific Board of the World Congress on Men’s Health.

He has been a licensed psychotherapist for over 45 years and is the author of ten books including the international best-selling “Male Menopause” that has thus far been translated into 24 languages.

His next hit was “The Irritable Male Syndrome,” published by Rodale Press in the fall of 2004.

Another recent book is “Mr. Mean: Saving Your Relationship from the Irritable Male Syndrome” and can be thought of as a handbook for Boomer women, helping their relationships with troubled men survive and then thrive.

Jed has also written many booklets, produced 10 audio cassette programs, and produced a video program for the Public Broadcasting System (PBS).

He has been featured on more than 1,000 radio and T.V. programs including The View with Barbara Walters, Good Morning America, Today Show, CNN-360 with Anderson Cooper, CNN with Glenn Beck, CBS, NBC, and Fox News.
He has taught classes at U.C. Berkeley, U.C.L.A., J.F.K. University, Esalen Institute, The Omega Institute, and other centers of education throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

His PhD study on gender and depression developed vital new information for treating depression in men.
