Today’s “15 Minutes of Fact” here on WGRNradio.com should be renamed “25,000 Miles of Road” – because if she hasn’t already clocked that amount of travel in her Occupy Wall Street journey, she certainly will before she finally parks her RV – aptly named “Occupy The Roads.”

When was the last time you traveled around the U.S. in an RV emblazoned with signs such as “Release Bradley Manning” and “Info Collection Task Force Unit for Wikileaks?”  But then, when was the last time that you were so strongly moved that you would get off your couch and actually DO something like that?

Janet Wilson has been described as a “mobile extension” of the Occupy Wall Street Protests, and lives up to that billing.  Over the past many months, in a trip that started in Seattle, WA, down to San Diego, across the south to Atlanta and then up to NYC, she has found herself greeted by Occupiers in dozens of different cities.  Most recently, she camped out with Occupiers at the 4th of July National Gathering (NatGat) in Philadelphia.

There are so many parallels that can be drawn from what she is doing to those that have preceded her – ranging from Steinbecks’ Travels with Charley, Keroac’s On the Road, and even Woody Guthries claim at that time to having traveled “45 of the 48 States.”

The first thing I am sure that is in everyone’s mind is, “Why in the world are you doing this?”  Why leave the safe and tiny community of Gig Harbor, WA, to travel from Occupy site to Occupy site?

The next logical question – how is she financially able to do this?  Is this a perverse prank by the Koch Brothers – their way of bringing balance to their evil ways – or does she have a number of financial supporters?

More come to mind.  Her favorite Occupy City?  The lessons learned?  Where to, next?  These and more questions will be answered in this unique “15 Minutes of Fact.”  How is all of this being documented and recorded?  (BTW, Janet is looking for two interns to edit tons of video which she has collected along the way and for an upcoming political website to be called “USAassembly.com.”

For those wishing to get in contact with or learn more about Janet Wilson, you can email her as janet@occupytheroads.com,  follow her on her website, www.OccupyTheRoads.com, and be sure to Google her as well.

Tune in, turn on, and climb on board for a wonderful interview with a “Hall of Fame” Occupy Heroine.
